Since its debut in 2010, Tower of God has continued to tell a story unlike any other, filled with mysteries and tests at every corner. As a result, it has gathered a loyal fanbase, which only expanded following the release of the anime adaptation. Created by SIU, the story follows Twenty-Fifth Baa, or Baam, for short, and a host of diverse characters as they ascend the Tower of God.

With a narrative spanning over a decade, Tower of God boasts numerous arcs, each contributing something great to the story, be it from an action point or as a tool to expand on the world further, and here are some of the best ones.

10 A Rough War

Evankhell’s Time In The Spotlight

• Chapter: Part 3 Ep. 56-59

This arc continues the story of the ongoing war involving the leader of the Lo Po Bia family, the canine Doom, and Paul. Regardless of the arc’s name, it is not just about warfare all through, as it takes fans through the past of the High Ranker Evankhell and lets them in on his backstory, even though it is for quite a bit, as he stakes his life on the frontlines.

Despite spanning only about three chapters, the value of this arc far outranks most of the others in the Tower of God series.

9 The Second Defensive Wall

The Continued Fight Against Zahard’s Forces

• Chapter: Part 3, 67-69

This arc immediately succeeds the Vs. Kallavan arc and builds up on the war as Baam and his acquaintances reach the second stage in the battle against Zahard’s forces following the defeat of Kallavan.

At the time of release, SIU went on a hiatus and paused the arc on a cliffhanger that built so much suspense for the return of the series, making it one of the most popular arcs. The war brought back some old characters and saw some new ones forge new alliances to further their goals.

8 One Shot, One Opportunity

The First Of The Workshop Battles

• Chapter: Part 2, 58-65

The One Shot, One Opportunity Arc took place on the 30th floor and is based on a test of the same name, where E-Rank Regulars face off against each other to win rewards such as items or weapons made by The Workshop.

The reward here was a ticket that admitted one person on top of the Archimedes, one of the five great floating ships of the workshop. There were a lot of stellar fights and displays of strategy in this arc, with Khun, Androssi, Viole, and Hatsu, among others, showing out.

7 The Development Tournament

An Equally Engaging Tournament

• Chapter: Part 2, 81-84

The Development Tournament is the second part of the Workshop Battle, which featured two brackets going up against each other in contests. The FUG went up against Team Mad Dog on one side and the eight other gamblers on the other end, and the winner of both sides will go up against each other in the finals.

This arc mainly focused on the FUG and Mad Dog sides of things, as they engaged in a contest that was largely entertaining and filled with impressive plays from both sides.

6 The Nest

The Conclusion To A Great Battle

Many of the first arcs in Tower of God Part Three fleshed out Yama’s character and enlightened people about his backstory, his position as the true King of the Dogs, and one of the best leaders canine people have ever had, so it was sad to see when Yasratcha betrayed his people to join Zahard’s army.

The criminal organization FUG has been clashing with Yama for some time, and this arc brought a conclusion to that conflict. Baam’s ability to rally people proved to be useful here, as he was able to pick up the pieces and offer Yama a bigger goal to look towards.

5 The Name Hunt Station Arc

The Name Hunt Game

• Chapter: Part 2, 198-225

Baam learned the true nature of his ability in this arc as he underwent training by the “God” of Guardians to get strong enough to scale through the Name Hunt Station and proceed to the 43rd Floor. There, he and Khun encountered many people, including Lo Po Bia Elaine, otherwise known as Kaiser, who ruled the Name Hunt Station for many years.

There was also a fight to the death between Princess Yuri and Karaka, who escaped after realizing he was no match for her. Two other princesses also debuted in this arc, further expanding the world and bringing the promise of new plot possibilities.

4 The Crown Game Arc

One Of The Early Exciting Contests

• Chapter: Part 1, 14-25

This arc was one of the most exciting as it was one of the first few coordinated tests featured in the Tower, and it guaranteed a passage from the Second Floor to the Third upon victory. The Crown Game is a team game where players must steal and maintain possession of the crown.

This arc demonstrated the all-round ability of Khun Aguero, both tactical and physical, but in the end, they did not emerge victorious because Baam’s feelings got in the way and he lost possession of the crown to save Rachel.

3 Last Examination

Action-Packed With An Unexpected Ending

• Chapter: Part 1, 57-74

The Last Examination Arc was packed with action from start to finish, and the ending left fans of the manhwa in disbelief. Baam receives a test from the Guardian after Khun contests the results of the previous floor test, which was meant to remove those who are capable of harming the tower.

After Baam undergoes a mini-training arc, Khun and the others are ready to take on the Submerged Fish Hunt Test, which involves a bull boss far stronger than they originally thought. Following the conclusion, Rachel pushes Baam from a height, stating that he needs to die there.

2 Vs. Kallavan

Baam and the other people present at the Hidden Floor’s door were pulled in, split into groups, and made to go up against their sworn enemies, or worst fears. The origin of the Hidden Floor was revealed to be a mirror that stores the data of regulars, which eventually became a society of data humans after numerous data saves.

The groups had to confront their fears and their moral compass, as their success relies on passing through without tipping the scales that measure their good and evil deeds.
